Oh dear, my first real goodbyes of the trip this morning. Yes, I did shed a tear or two but Sarah held up well.
Paul finally found me at the airport and we whiled away the afternoon catching up. It's like we haven't been apart! Tomorrow, Sunday, I'm planning to do lots of walking around, discovering what Brisbane has to offer. It's Mother's Day here, so it might prove tricky to get afternoon tea but I'll probably try anyway.
My ear has just about recovered from the flight from Adelaide. It's really annoying arriving somewhere and being able to hear half of what's going on.
You may, or may not, be interested to know that The Flight has not cured me of my 'issues' with flying. There was quite a lot of turbulence after take-off and then coming in to Brisbane. I tried to practise relaxation techniques during the landing. It wasn't going too badly until I jumped out of my skin and managed to hit the leg of the chap next to me as we landed. I didn't know that we were so close and the thud was a bit sudden! He was ok about it. I think. I couldn't hear him say anything anyway ;-)
Onwards and upwards!
