Farewell Adelaide

It's been great. I have enjoyed revisiting past haunts and discovering new places. Not sure about the weather although you really shouldn't complain about 15C being cold!

Today we visited Tandanya Aboriginal Cultural Centre, which was excellent. A selection of aboriginal art in a great setting. It was raining rather a lot (still) when we left so the coffee shop opposite just opened its arms and called us in.

Despite Le Carpe Diem being a creperie, we didn't have pancakes. We had a very civilised afternoon tea with a lemon tart and a Danish pastry. It was still raining. We went to the pub. Some hilarity ensued as I explored my confusion as to where we would be eating. The pub was Kings and where we were to eat was Bings. Obvious, really! It seems that the pub market is competitive in Adelaide so we were on happy hour for a few pints before the need for food finally kicked in.

Off we went to Bing's, in China Town. It was very reminiscent of Noodle Express in NM, which I have been to innumerable times. The food was good, decent, inexpensive and Chinese. Sarah and Dom have adopted it and I could see why. Sometimes you don't need complicated menus or uppity serving staff. Sometimes you want the Ronseal approach and that's fine. And so was Bing's.

Now the small matter of packing after eight days in the same place. Off to Brisbane and meeting up with Paul again. Will we cry? Who knows!

And finally, thanks so much to Sarah and Dom for putting me up and putting up with me over the last week. It's been great. Thank you xxx
